It was a busy morning in the Junior Room, as three little chefs got to work to prepare for their Teddy Bear’s Picnic. They started out making a list of all the things they would need for their picnic, and suggestions included a picnic basket, a blanket, food, fruit, treats, plates, cutlery, juice and napkins.
The children got busy making some food for their picnic, and what better choice than only pizzas! They used wraps for the base and spread tomato purée on top, and then they chose their toppings from ham, pepperoni, pineapple and cheese. Once they were happy with their creations, we popped them in the oven.
While they were cooking, the children were busy washing strawberries and chopping them into bowls. They packed up their picnic basket, making sure to tick each item off their list. Once the pizzas were done, we covered them in foil and we were ready to go.
We welcomed our special teddy guests to the classroom, and off we went on our Teddy Bear’s Picnic. We found a nice spot in the school garden and we tucked in. Our pizzas and strawberries were delicious! We enjoyed some crisps and chocolate too. We had a really enjoyable picnic. Thank you, teddies, for joining us!
