The Junior Room made the most of the nice weather and took their learning outside. The children put their mathematical skills to use, and were gathering materials to represent the numbers 1 to 10. They also revised 2D shapes and gathered materials to make a triangle, square, rectangle, circle and hexagon. The children have enjoyed listening to stories in the outdoor classroom, as well as enjoying some orienteering activities. The children have been busy over the last few months taking care of the flower beds too, and had lots of weeds to dig up before planting some flowers and the seedlings we planted back in March. 2nd Class do a great job at watering the plants too.
