The whole school took part in Active Week and there were lots of various activities happening in the Junior Room. Everyday the children enjoyed a variety of GoNoodle activities, focusing on gross motor skills and co-ordination. The Junior Room also enjoyed a crack the code orienteering activity, as well as having fun with some soccer and tennis. Some obstacle courses were set up for the Junior Room too and their skills were really put to the test. They had lots of fun!

On Friday, the whole school enjoyed Sport’s Day. The day started off with a variety of races including, a sprint, sack race, spud and spoon race, obstacle course, crawling race, water and sponge race, and relay race. Once the Junior Room completed their races, we spectated the Senior Room for a short time before enjoying our break time. After break, the Junior Room enjoyed parachute games. We made a parachute dome (mushroom), played a ball game, cat and mouse and sharks and lifeguards. As a special treat, an ice-cream van visited the school and everyone got a 99 ice-cream! There were lots of very happy faces and ice-cream covered ones too! At lunch time, the winners of the races from the Junior Room were announced and everyone received a certificate for their participation in Sports Day. The children then enjoyed a sports quiz to end the day.
