Anti-Bullying Week 2022 took place between Monday 14th and Friday 18th November. The goal of Anti-Bullying Week was to raise awareness about bullying and the effects that it can have on the people that experience it and to inform us all that it takes a collective responsibility to stop bullying.

During our whole school assembly this week, we watched a video clip that portrayed the various forms of bullying. We discussed as a school what bullying can look like, what we should do if you are subject to bullying or if you witness bullying happening to someone else. This led to us thinking about kindness and we brainstormed what kindness looks like and what it feels like. Using everyone’s ideas, the children designed leaves with the words they brainstormed, such as being friendly, sharing, smiling and respectful. These were then added to our beautiful kindness tree, as a daily reminder to be kind to one another and to praise kindness when we see it and feel it.
