The last day before the Easter break was full of lots of fun and laughter. The Juniors started the day with a scavenger hunt outside with Miss Draper to find pieces of coloured ribbon. Once they had found a yellow and blue ribbon, the children were able to exchange them for two Easter eggs! Back in the classroom, we found a note from the Easter bunny saying they had hidden lots of eggs around the classroom. The children had to follow the clues to find all of the eggs which lead them to the hidden Easter treasure – what a treat it was!

In Arts and Crafts, the children used oil pastels and watercolours to create a patterned Easter Egg. Then they added feathers, eyes and an orange beak to their chick who sat inside the egg. The Juniors had time to take part in Easter Sensory play, playing with jumbo oats, mini eggs, bunnies, chicks and nests. They really enjoyed filling and pouring and collecting all of the items.

To finish the day, we put on our new Easter headbands and had a tea party while we watched a movie. We enjoyed eating lots of treats from Ms Mills including chocolate nests and lots of chocolate eggs!
